Rin Bay View Resort is in Haad Rin, at the southern end of Koh Phangan, where the village’s shops, bars and restaurants are reachable on foot. The area combines a settled beach village with a lively nightlife calendar, especially around Full Moon Party dates. Haad Rin Queen ferry terminal is 200 m away, Ban Haad Rin is 250 m away, and Haad Rin Nok Beach is 550 m away. Haad Rin Nai and Leela are also beaches close to the resort, while the shoreline beside the property is described by visitors as quieter than the event beach.
From Koh Samui, the Haad Rin Queen sails from Bangrak directly to Haad Rin; its crossing takes around 20–30 minutes, followed by a short walk from the pier. If you arrive at Thong Sala instead, shared songthaews travel to Haad Rin. The hill road approaching Haad Rin is steep, so take care when travelling by scooter. Free private parking is available on site without reservation, and check-in runs from 14:00 to 21:00. Samui International Airport is across the water, so the boat connection forms part of the onward journey.
Beach time and the island’s monthly event calendar shape visits here. Full Moon Party takes place on Haad Rin Nok, 600 m from the resort; Haad Yuan, 2.1 km away, and Haad Thian, 2.7 km away, are other beaches nearby. Haad Yuan and Haad Thian have no road access, so the trip is made by taxi-boat from Haad Rin. February to April is Koh Phangan’s driest, calmest period, while October to December brings the heaviest rain and rougher seas on the east coast, especially in November and December.
